We looked at the values that footballers need to have on and off the pitch and how this can help us with our learning in and out of the classroom.

This values are:

We thought about what it meant to play the right way, what it means to be respectful and what qualities we would need to be a team player and/or a captain of a team. We learnt that we can’t always win but more importantly, how to react if this happens.

Thank you Ash, we had a wonderful morning and we will make sure that we are using this values when we are in the classroom.

Football

This half-term, we are learning how to play football with Sheffield United Community Foundation. Although it was wet and miserable outside, we weren’t going to let the rain spoil our fun.

We learnt how to dribble the ball around each other, stop the ball from rolling away with our foot and how to do toe taps. By the end of the session, we were able to run much faster with the ball, being able to keep it under control. We can’t wait for next week’s session, fingers crossed that the sun will shine for us!
