RuggerEds

We have had the most amazing treat this half term – Y2 have been learning how to play tag rugby with the coaches from RuggerEds.

We have learnt lots about respect, following the rules and working as part of a team as well as skills that we can use such as dodging, running and how to hold a rugby ball properly.

We couldn’t wait for Friday mornings to come around so that we could build on the skills we had learnt in the previous week.

Every week, the coaches would choose some ‘Trainers of the Week’. Our winners from this half term are below…

A massive thank you to Rob and Joe for coming to school every week to teach us how to play rugby! We had a blast! 🙂

Football with SUCF

This week, Miss Varley had an extra special surprise for us. For our PE session, we got to work with Ash from the Sheffield United Community Foundation.

He taught us for to dribble and pass between a short distance and by the end of the session, we were able to put these skills to the test when we split into 4 teams and had a game of fottball against each other.

We can’t wait for our next session with Ash.
