This week, we have been practicing our rolls but added to the rolls the things we have already learnt.
We know what a star jump is, a straddle jump, a tuck jump and a pike jump.
We found it hard to stand up, keeping our knees and feet together because we couldn’t use our hands to touch the floor. By the end of the lesson, we could do a forward roll, stand up without using our hands and finish our movement by standing up straight with our hands above our heads!
This week, Pearl have been reading the story Little Red Riding Hood. We used finger puppets to retell the story in our own words, wrote character descriptions about the Big Bad Wolf and then we used inverted commas to write conversations between the characters in the story.
Next week, we are going to be writing our own versions of Little Red Riding Hood. We can’t wait!
We couldn’t resist a play in the lovely white crisp snow! We had so much fun making our snowman!
