Next week is our KS1 SATs Week.
The children have been working incredibly hard over the last few months. All of the adults in Year 2 would like to acknowledge all of the determination, perseverance and effort that the children have shown.
Thank you to all of the parents and carers that have supported their child with their reading at home, weekly homework and extra work to help each child to reach their potential.
We wish all of the children the very best of luck. Have a lovely weekend and come to school on Monday with a smile on your face!
The Year 2 team xx
Miss Varley was so impressed by your writing this week. You have been able to include expanded noun phrases, commands and exclamation sentences as well as independently including contractions in your topic work!
Our Mathematician of the Week has won this award for being a superstar in maths all of the time. He is hard working, has some brilliant ideas and will always try his best no matter the task that he has been asked to complete.
Will you be the mathematician of the week next week?
We are so lucky to have the newest member of the Pride of Prince Edward in our class.
This is why she was nominated for this very special award.
What a little superstar she is. She is an always child. Always sat beautifully on the carpet, always able to answer a question she is asked, always doing the right thing, always setting an example to others, always being a little diamond in the classroom. I am so lucky to have her in Pearl class.
Do you think that you might be the next Pride of Prince Edward?
What a fantastic effort from our Superstar Writer of the Week. Miss Varley was so impressed by your independent writing this week when you wrote a letter, pretending to be the farmer from the story ‘The Papaya that Spoke’ by Pie Corbett.
Congratulations to our final winner of Mathematician of the Week for this half term.
You always work hard and always try your best! Fantastic effort from you! Well done!
A massive well done to our Superstar Writer of the Week this week.
You are making a tremendous effort with your writing! You can use expanded noun phrases, commas in a list and starting to use exclamation sentence when you are writing. Keep it up.
